Copper, or Tamra in Sanskrit, has been an important element of Indian Ayurvedic culture for centuries due to its numerous health benefits. This long-established tradition has now also been validated by modern scientists who have validated its antibacterial and antimicrobial qualities. It has been proven that Copper helps eliminate bacteria and viruses such as E-Coli & Rotavirus.
We have created a range of beautifully designed copper bottles to re-integrate this ancient tradition into our modern lives.
HEALTH BENEFITS: Water stored in Copper bottles is alkaline in nature and helps facilitate copper & iron uptake, improves the digestive system, and has anti-inflammatory properties. Drinking copper-infused water helps treat digestive disorders (hyperacidity and gastric ulcers), long-term inflammatory diseases (bronchial asthma, bronchitis, ascites, chronic rhinitis), and mineral deficiency disorders (anaemia, neutropenia and long term weakness).
NATURAL AYURVEDIC DETOXIFIER: Copper is well-known for its detoxification properties and has been traditionally used in Ayurveda for centuries for storing and detoxifying water. A recent study showed that viruses and bacteria such as Rotavirus and E-coli did not survive on the surface of copper making it a natural purifier.
ECO-CONSCIOUS & AESTHETIC: Sarveda’s 100% pure copper bottles are aesthetically handcrafted by rural artisans in India for people who are health-conscious and leading a life that is in harmony with nature. Each of our designs conveys ancient Eastern wisdom in the form of art and messaging. All of the material used in creating them is eco-friendly and biodegradable. The exquisite artwork can be used for personal use and is also great for gifting purposes.
CARING FOR YOUR BOTTLE: Avoid using chemical cleaning agents to clean the bottle. Do not use hot water to clean your bottle. Please be careful not to use harsh scrubbers or detergent on the artwork. Using a soft cloth and warm water on the outside should be enough. You can use salt and diluted lime juice or vinegar to clean the inside of the bottle. We highly recommend using the Sarveda coconut fiber bottle cleaner (available as an add-on) to clean inside the bottle. To minimize oxidation, keep your copper bottle dry and store it in a dry place. After washing, wipe clean with a cloth, do not let it dry on its own.
BEFORE YOU BUY: Please be aware that copper is a reactive metal and it’s normal for it to become oxidized and develop brown/black coloration on the surface. It is actually a good sign as it implies that your copper bottle is 100% pure and is working efficiently to clean the water. If your bottle does tarnish, you can easily clean it with baking soda or diluted lemon juice.
Sarveda bottles are not insulated, and they cannot keep water hot or cold. Storing hot beverages or juice can cause damage to the bottle.
