Dhuleti
Tradition: The tradition is believed to be originated by Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna was sad over his Dark complexion and wondered why Radha was so fair and went to his mother complaining about his complexion. His Mother Yashodha playfully suggested that he can smear any colour on Radha’s face and change her complexion to any colour he wanted. Fascinated by the idea, Krishna proceeded to do so and thus introduced the festival of colours signifying the oneness and beauty of love
Environment: Our environment, Our mother Earth, our Surroundings, our home. We have only 2 homes. One is our body and the other is Mother Earth. We are responsible to take care of her. After Holi, we see rising levels of water pollution and decreasing levels of
water. The water resources are limited on Mother earth and we are responsible to take care. So we came up with colours handcrafted from natural ingredients to decrease the amount of waste generated and maintain the environmental balance.
Holi Ke Rang are handcrafted from elements of nature – flowers, Ayurveda, vegetables, spices of India, essential oils and love. The colours are hand rubbed in arrowroot to make them skin-friendly and environment-friendly.
It is a blend of Beeswax, soy wax, and ghee with essential oil of mogra and jasmine. The story as a whole is a testament to the power of devotion (bhakta) over the evil represented by King Hiranyakashyapu, as Prahlad never
lost his faith. The tradition of Holika is celebrated by offering haldi , saboot moong dal, til, flowers, colours, akshat, Gulaal and Jaggery and we have integrated
the elements in our Holika.
